Hello,
Thank you for your patience regarding any noise produced by the I-270 Southwest side project. Due to various inquiries about the noise surrounding this project, a noise analysis was recently completed in your area. Results showed that by slightly raising the ramp from I-270 south to I-70 west, the noise level should increase by about .3 decibels on average. This range of noise increase is not discernable to the human ear, and since ODOT is not increasing highway capacity nor shifting travel lanes closer to the existing homes, no noise walls or any other type of noise mitigation is being proposed for this area at this time.
