2008 has arrived and our community is another year older but not without growing pains. Our previous Board worked very hard to recover our stolen funds and although we were unaware of their everyday sacrifices and each hour spent away from their families the outcome was clear and certainly appreciated. They began paving the road toward our success as a thriving, healthy community.
Our current HOA has been in office for 6 months and is comprised of 3 Board Members and 2 Officers. During the past 6 months the following achievements have been made:
Door to door canvassing of the neighborhood for feed back from residents in respect to questions, concerns and direction they would like to see the community heading.
New website was developed
Monthly Board and Officer meetings
Insurance
Communication initiated with council woman Tiberius, the city liaison Danielle Weber and attorney Pfeiffer regarding possibility of changing deed restrictions and way to proceed if achievable.
Multiple discussions with the Mayors Office
Sorting, investigating and filing multiple boxes of documentation of the subdivision history.
Attended a well established HOA meeting in Harrison West for method of success and ideas
Analyzed and recorded receipts and balanced the Books.
Budget was developed for the last 4 months of this year
Policies and Procedures were written
The front entrances were cleaned up and landscaped.
The monument lights were repaired
Every 5 to 7 business days to the post office and bank
Obtained estimates for repairing the sprinkler system
The August Annual Meeting and attempt at Bylaw change (not passed)

Two Newsletters at 400 copies each mailing which require being written, printed, folded (2 pages), stuffed, sealed, stamped, placement of return address, placement of recipient address and taken to post office x400.
Door to door launch of Deed enforcement in safety issues
Researched and obtained information on Property Management Companies
Established Accounting Service to correct Quick Books, file taxes and quarterly reconciliation
Developed and maintain spreadsheet on homes for sale and to contact realtors
Investigated and developed spreadsheet for HUD homes
Investigation into Reserve Lot B and possible interest of buyer

Copy all incoming checks (dues) and update spreadsheet

Deed and Recorder search all returned invoices then re-billed
Address home owner phone calls, emails and feed back forms
Initiated door to door contact with renters
Delivery of Welcome Wagon baskets
Contacted city code for cleaning culvert
