Board & Officer Meeting


Date: August 25th, 2008

Attendees: Beth Lintz, Debbie Gordon, Elizabeth Ehret, and Pam Johnson.


 


Safety & Block Watch:  No responses regarding Safety & Block Watch committee in neighborhood.  Please if you are interested email, call, or fill out feedback form to Debbie Gordon.  A couple of neighbors had stated that their mail has been blocked due to cars parked in front of their mailboxes.  If this happens please contact post office to see what can be done about mail.  We have also received some feedback forms on violations in the neighborhood.  The violators will receive friendly neighborhood letters at this time.  Evidently they will be given to attorney to look into legal pursuit. 


 


Homes For Sale & Vacancies:  25 houses are currently for sale in neighborhood and 6 vacant homes out of 378 homes in neighborhood. 


 


Welcome Wagon: Four welcome baskets are still out and need to be delivered.  Beth still needs to get with Christina Chubb to discussion the welcome basket program.  In the following days this will happen. 


 


Landscaping Front Entrances: The weeds are greatly noticed at the front entrances.  Right now we are debating on community efforts to clean the weeds or pay the landscaper to take care of the weeds.  We are trying to save as much money as possible for legal counsel regarding past due accounts.  The cost of weed removal plus weed killer is $200.00 plus weed killer cost.  The vote was given and all board of trustees voted on having landscaper come out and do weed removal.  We have had community participation before with a small turnout.  So the landscaper should be out in the coming days to kill the weeds and do weed removal.  We feel the appearance of the front entrances are very important to our community.


 


Social Events: At this time the only social event we are going to sponsor is the garage sale in June.  We fill the expense and low turnout makes that a very wise decision.  If we find more people are willing to volunteer and help with sponsorship then we will consider more social functions.


 


Applebee’s and Max & Erma’s Fundraisers: Max and Erma’s we made $67.21 that went towards our HOA.  Haven’t heard anything about the Applebee’s fundraiser yet.  There is another Applebee’s fundraiser coming up on Sunday September 14th, 2008.  Be sure to print your coupons before going.
